This is what Florida looks like after Hurricane Michael batters the region

(CNN) - Hurricane Michael made landfall on the Florida Panhandle as a Category 4 storm, battering the region with sustained winds of 155 mph and potentially catastrophic storm surges.

Here is what parts of Florida look like:

Mexico Beach

The storm made landfall Wednesday afternoon near Mexico Beach, leaving large swaths of the beach destination in ruins.

Port St. Joe

Damaged boats lie semi-submerged at the Port St. Joe Marina in Gulf County.

Panama City Beach and Panama City

Michael blew out the windows of the First Federal Bank in Panama City.

Fort Walton Beach

Alligator Point
